    Maternity/"primary caregiver" leave is pretty good compared to many large US companies, especially now that they don't make you burn most of your PTO before taking the 14 weeks paid. Parental/"non-primary caretaker" leave of 1 week is pretty abysmal and old fashioned - this policy implies that one of the parents (typically the dad) shouldn't be nearly as involved as the other (typically the mother). In my opinion something like 4 weeks would be much more reasonable and show that the company supports fathers spending time with their family.
