Your work just piled up
They lump your sick time and vacation together; and call it PTO
You acrue vacation/PTO however, you get absolutely NO sick time. So if you plan to use all of your pto during the year don't plan on getting sick or having any other days off.
very competitive PTO accrual and company promotes work-life balance
Vacation hours carry over to next year
Could be more time off
You receive PTO instantly. You are able to take it as you please.
You don't get any vacation or time off until you get hired on which usually takes about 6-12 months, they basically work you down to the bone as newly hires, scheduling you 6 days/ 10hr shifts, very tough to keep up when you work so hard for so long and have little time to recover
Our company gives vacation as follows....1 year 5 days...2 years 10 days...7 years 15 days...15 years 20 days.... and 25 years 25 day......which you think would be VERY nice.....problem is....that they have "plant shutdowns" and are able to take up to 10 days of our vacation from us. We are a union shop and it is in our contract so we can do nothing about it.
