New Visions offers a very competitive and generous benefits package for our staff, including free medical and dental insurance for employees (additional cost for dependants) and with no high deductibles. We also provide a generous 8% contribution to eligible employees retirement account starting after only 1 year of employment (subject to vesting schedule) and generous annual paid time off.
New Visions offers a very good healthcare plan, as well as pre-tax benefits for transit and health, and a 403b retirement plan with employer contributions. On top of closures for many of the major holidays, employees get 20 days paid time off during their first two years; after that, 25 days per year.
Pros: They do 403 b employer matching and untaxed money for commuting. 20 days pto. Aside from 2-3 bad eggs, everyone is nice. Cons: Gym reimbursement, medical insurance, dental and vsp could be better.
Best thing it that everything is affordable
401B3 and days off per year.
8% matching contribution to 401k. 20 days PTO with flexible scheduling option for summer for first 2 yrs and then goes to 25 days. This eliminates need for differentiation with sick leave. 11 paid holidays.
Non of the benefit packages were of an issue per say. However, as a replacement teacher it would be difficult to obtain benefis.
Great matching 403b plan, basic health benefits are 100% covered by the organization.
403 B Matching is generous. Dental benefit is not so great.
School will match contributions after 1 year.
No employee contributions for single-person, though the family package is similar/competitive to other NY non-profits
