2 weeks paid vacation, adequate health insurance
The benefits are good in my experience, except for the dental benefits. They dental benefits do not cover much, and I usually end up more than the insurance quotes I have not had any issues with the medical benefits. Also, I have not elected to partake in all benefit programs that are offered, but the basic benefits package, other than dental, have been beneficial and exactly what I would expect.
401k Plan, Carries Medical and Dental at an affordable price
The insurance is great, except for Spectera vision. You don't get enough bang for your buck. And now they do 50% up to 6% on the 401K Match.
The health insurance, at least for employee only, is better than before the merger. Its run by United Health Care and deductible is $250, then plan pays 80%. I've found that the negotiated rates to be cheaper than with Blue Cross under Media General. Vacation is 2 weeks up to 6 years, then 3 weeks, and it goes up to 4 weeks later on so this is not quite as good. There's also a 401k thru Fidelity, basic life insurance, the typical stuff.
Best: 401k match. Worst: Penalty to add spouse to insurance.
I like the time off and the health benefits
Great 401K Match. Not enough Vacation days
Generous paid sick and vacation time.
Worst: They don't recognize comp days for salaried employees
