Has good Health Insurance with no weekly deduction. CoPays aren't that bad. 401 K and company matchHtwo different Health plans to chose from
The company has wide range of benefits, but many are shallow and high deductible still costing much out of your pocket.
Overall it is a decent benefits package, 401k, healthcare, paid vacation, paid holidays.
Typical benefits, 401k match was put in 3% get 6%, 9% contribution total (3 from you, 6 from the company). Delta dental was reasonable and medical coverage is probably average. Davis vision is the vision provider and is probably about average for vision coverage. Dental and vision paycheck deductions are very small, just a few dollars, medical was probably 20-30 per paycheck for single coverage. $2000 to opt out of medical. Unlimited sick days, but obviously they notice when people abuse this. Very good if you need days off for bereavement and childcare, etc. but it all depends on the manager you get.
The other review from a former employee stating that they contribute 6% if you contribute 3% is no longer true. NO options for Health insurance, it is crappy insurance, and even if you are willing to pay more for better benefits, they do not have ANY options to do so. They no longer provide the HSA contribution to offset the high deductible and out of pocket (which have also gone way up to 'meet industry standards'). They offer a much lower amount, but you need to jump through many hoops and 'sell' your information to the insurance company to get any of it. The short term disability benefits exclude many common procedures etc. that you may need time off for. Nothing about this benefits package works for the young talent that Nexteer is trying to attract. It is not helpful for the younger employees starting families, and it is not helpful for 2 married Nexteer employees. As you DO NOT get the $2000 opt out credit if you are married to another Nexteer employee. Combine with the lower than average pay, the incentive compensation that you MIGHT get, but also might not regardless of how hard you work, because it is not based on how well you do and how much you contribute to the company, and the merit plan that you also may or may not get each year, the 'benefits' are not beneficial at all.
I was an intern so I did not get benefits. But I heard they were decent.
Good 401K contribution. Benefits plan overall is good. Great holiday/vacation entitlements.
Very good benefits for the times
Benefits were nice for an entry level production position. They were adequate for myself at the time. My wife and I were married and expecting our first child. I don't have anything negative to say about the benefit levels.
Start as new employee with 2 weeks paid vacation. Health, dental, vision. 401K matching.
