“State Government employees are forced to contribute to the program, even if they do not intend to stay long term. ”
Great vacation and health insurance
Good benefits and time off work
Health insurance is very good
Steady, fair. It would have been nice at the time to have the opportunity to access 12 weeks unpaid family leave tho... but I guess it was meant to be. Loved the job. Loved the tuition assistance also. Would have been nice to apply my learning some more. Gave up my career to care for family. Sad but no regrets
Great retirement set up and employee leave time. Bad part is you only can take leave after you work there for a year and 6% of your pay is automatically taken out of your paycheck to go into fund state retirement.
I was an intern so you don’t have to worry about benefits.
Since I was a state employee, I received reduced cost for health insurance. This was probably the best benefit because it was very convenient.
best is good health benefits, i don't know bad things
Benefits have been known to draw employees to work for the state in previous years. However, the benefits have become less impressive and salaries have not been updated within units of DMV. This has increasingly led to loss of full- time career employees. What remains is a constant everchanging line of short term employees in constant need of training.
no more free health care.
