Northern Trust has a great benefits package. The vacation and holiday schedule allows for a great work/life balance
Best: thing is minimum 3 weeks vacation for everyone. Also good is number of paid holidays and sick time. Insurance is good. Unfortunately when they implemented the 3 wk vacation for new hires, the people who had been there over 5 years and just earned 3 wks, did not get any extra time, they were equal to new hires.
Generous paid time off, but it is segmented between vacation, personal, sick, and emergency days. 401K with 3% match if you contribute 6% and a pension plan. Health care is more expensive than other employers, but there are multiple options that can help to reduce cost if you're willing to use a high deductible plan or an insurer with a much smaller network.

Non-Salary Benefits are great. Good amount of time off, child-care daycare on site for employees. Tuition assistance for higher level roles (MBA tuition etc). PTO, Sick Leave and Personal Days.
