Health insurance was great! When I was pregnant all the doctor visits and delivery costed me Zero dollars!
Acceptable benefits at Northwell. As a office staff member, I pay about $200 per paycheck for health insurance for self but it covers almost everything from the Northwell network at $3k out of pocket maximum. There is a cool wellness benefit which keeps staff healthy with a $2k credit. There is free short term disability. Dental and vision are super cheap, less than $20 per paycheck. These benefits are only good if you live near the NH facilities.
Health Insurance Benefits are excellent. Other benefits are highly competitive.
Good doctors who take care of their own.
Good insurance and easy to work with HR to change anything
Very generous benefits and employee engagement
Personally health insurance is currently working out great for me. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I live in an area that is highly saturated with providers that are within the Northwell network. They also now offer coverage for employees who live outside these areas, unfortunately I don't know how it works because it was recently introduced and will take effect January 2022.
Health insurance is great for full time employees.
excellent benefits with all specialties in the network 401K, adequate PTO, medical dental, and vision insurance
Recently changed medical insurance from United Healthcare to Northwell Direct and Magnacare. Coverage went from great to poor. Out of network coverage can be 'bought up' but benefit level is greatly reduced, coverage is poor, and this discourages use of Non-Northwell Providers. Works well if you only ever use Northwell for all coverage.
