401k was the best thing
Great doctors, good copay and good benefits for dental/medical. Eyeglass coverage could be better.
They have a great benefits package and great discounts for employees
It is a comprehensive benefits package.
Good insurance plans, 401k with matching is awesome and generous wellness credits deducts from insurance cost. Slowly expanding physician practices North of Long Island which helps employees that live in Westhester county be able to utilize their insurance.
The retirement plan administrator (3rd party, not a system employee) has consistently been unhelpful
Benefit package comprehensive; Medical benefits using providers outside of Northwell is extremely expensive with a very high deductible.
Fair amount of health insurance covered, 403(b) offered, and paid time off provided, but maternity leave is really behind the times. You get the state FMLA benefits, but otherwise Northwell takes all of your saved PTO and then you don't get paid if you don't have enough PTO to cover the 12 weeks. For the largest private employer in the state, and one focused on healthcare, one would think that it would have a better maternity leave policy for its employees.
