Really great benefit package. Good 401k match and great healthcare costs if you get care within the health system. Also really good new benefits such as loan repayment, wellness dollars and parental leave.
The health insurance benefits were great. The costs were very low when receiving care within the Northwestern Medicine facility network. Also, the 6% 401K match was good.
Management has no grasp of the scope of work assigned. Lazy employees get no reprimand, managers are disengaged. Poor communication between departments
The current health insurance offerings are par for the area, and good if you have NM employed providers. NM participating partners, not employed by NM but in network, can be dropped from the network anytime and without notification. Industry-wide the trend is merge or be dropped. Again, this is average for similar employers, and there are a lot of employed providers in the north and west regions. Packages vary somewhat based on category and location. With the mergers largely completed, it will still be a couple of years until the benefits packages are standardized.
Nice bonus program, and are continually looking to improve.

Great benefits and management needs work
401k, medical, dental, vision, bonus
Company perks for a 401K paid time off and options for insurance, It’s a world-class hospital so the insurance offered to employees is the best available
401k with dollar for dollar match up to 6%. Health insurance was very nice IF you go through a Northwestern physician/hospital. Otherwise, health insurance was standard Aetna PPO, - not great coverage benefits for utilizing non-NW doctors, which are primarily only located in the city. VSP for vision and dental hi had a nice $2k max benefit for adult orthodontia if that floats your boat.
