As an intern they definitely help you grow your skills and everyone is very helpful
Great support here as well. With field directors, mentors and development coaches
Northwestern Mutual develops its interns well. They will pay for you to get your Insurance License and if you decide to continue then they will pay to get you CFP.
The best thing was my mentors were very helpful, but their computers were always having issues.
Great option for a college student to develop their knowledge and skills in the financial service industry
Not much development in this program you're kind of on your own. Don't look for much out of this.
In our particular office, the professional development is lacking due to weak leadership
Much better for advisors than associates. Advisors are responsible for team members' development and, since their main focus is sales, it's often an afterthought.
At Northwestern Mutual your advisor will pay for most certifications (CFP, all the investment Series - 6,63,7,66, etc). This is a huge perk of the AFR route.
Easy opportunities to work with and learn from successful financial advisors
