The company does not provide any benefits a part from your salary and medical assistance while you are onboard.

There is no benefits package. You are down to basic pay - plus you should get your % per guest - per cruise. When you finally get your pay - it is never the money should have earned. I have been working for them for the last ten years and it used to be a good company to work for. But it is obvious that the fact that the company has been undergoing one take over after another - has created an very unfair work environment. You don't really get payed what you have earned! They are treating people like slaves. What you get is - a place to sleep, 3 meals and crew bar and crew shop discount. Working on cruise ships has never been a walk through a park of roses but at lest you would get all of your earnings - not you are exposed to games played by the HQ - they are scamming people out for they earned money. Not going back there.

One of the best benefits of working for Norwegian Cruise Line is that they offer you a really great discount for any of the cruises that they offer. But the negative part of that is that you have to work for 6 months first but they only offered a 5 month contract.
