If something should happen in your life that makes it impossible for you to continue with a long term Per Diem client, they will replace you if they can. When you return to work, you may or may not be able to resume with the client depending on their appreciation of the new LPN. The referrals they give you are at best a "crap shoot". They may last a day, a week, a month, or years. The client may decide that they don't like you after an hour. I know one CNA that was with her client for seven years. LPNs tend to have shorter commitments as we are generally sent out for acute assignments.
