Accrue time off at a good rate -- this represents a major gripe for me in that PTO must be used for any federal holidays. Sick days are virtually not usable as you have to burn three PTO days before sick time is usable. Sick time cannot be used for family illness.

22 days off to start, mid-career is mid to upper 30's for days off!

Must use PTO for holidays, vacation and sick time. Cannot access sick time until you have used 2 days of PTO first, and this restarts for every sick episode.

Seems fair; you accrue at a higher rate the longer you've been employed.

There is an opportunity to accrue PTO and cash in if needed and vacation time grows with years worked.
