“OCC would contribute around 9% when the employee put in 6%. Also additional $1,000 per year.”
“Roughly the average of your highest 3 annual Salaries times years of service times 0.01. So you’ll get about a third of your final salary when you retire. New employees pay 3.1% of salary per year for this pension. The government says the cost of the pension is about 15% of salary. ”
The retirement package is great. There is a 401k, TSP, and a pension!
Great benefits that almost make up for the lack of opportunity
Access to great federal employee health plans, up to 10% matching on retirement accounts plus possible pension, free vision and dental.
Free dental and vision insurance, generous 401K match, subsidized health insurance.
Great 401k and TSP match
Benefits are beyond the usual government benefits, with extra health benefit premium subsidy, free vision, free dental (with orthodontic coverage). TSP plus 401k on top of that. Excellent package!
Great benefits, health insurance, retirement, etc...
I have compared my benefits with those in fortune 500 companies and am pleased to say that ours rank among the best companies, public and private. The OCC currently offers both a 401(k) and a thrift savings plan to all employees. Work hours are flexible and annual and sick leave is abundant. The OCC also offers competitive maternity and paternity leave, plus leave for those adopting.
The benefits package is great. It is above and beyond the normal government benefits.
Great govt benefits, fed holidays, and 401k
