We do have a substitute if you need a sick leave. The good news is that it is paid.
Administrative employees accrue 1.25 days per month. Once an employee accrues 150 hours, they can use 3 days as personal time.
You can take a sick leave but need to submit a doctors letter or document supporting it
For many employees, they do not offer paid sick days. They are pretty good about letting you not work when sick, you just won't get paid.
Full time, administrative staff earn 5 sick hours per paycheck (so over a day per month). These can be used for any type of doctor appointment or medical visit for yourself and qualifying family members.
Easy to take off when sick
If sick days accumulate in excess, 3 days per year can be transferred to Personal time.
The University gives more sick days and vacation days compared to other companies, however it depends on the supervisor how easily you can use them.
Very hard to get days off, but it is possible with like a month's notice.
15 days per year with no cap on number accrued and a bonus at retirement if you have sick days remaining when you retire.
