Oracle, like many others is adopting a flex approach to PTO. Whenever I asked for time off I got it.

Recently changed it to unlimited time off to get vacation balances off the balance sheet as it was a liability.

They force you to use your vacation days during the Christmas to New Years break. If you don't have kids it's the worst, most expensive time to travel.

You earn vacation/pto in my role. It's not unlimited vacation, so it's fairly standard.

Unlimited vacations and recently added two more days company holidays and US offices close over the christmas holidays

PTO is not good. Oracle forces all employees to use a week of their vacation time during the winter holiday! That's my vacation time, they shouldn't be able to tell me when to use it! You only get 12 days per year and you have to use 5 during the winter break! That leaves you only 7 days per year to enjoy some nice weather!

Unlimited vacations. Manager's discretion is applied. If you take normal vacation time, then it's not an issue... of course if you want to abuse it, you'll get in trouble.
