“Is was a benefit summary thing yea I don't now I just need to write something because this is stupid ”
“I had so much time off it wasn't even funny like I called out sick probably every other day I could get away with it ”
“the basic package is the same except you get all national holidays off”
The retirement is expensive, but is a good benefit.
Retirement contribution/accrual is a joke compared to any other public agency and is even lower than those in the CALPERS system. Union is looking out for those retiring soon instead of everyone else working now.
Health Benefits are Not offered
Only 1.62% retirement accural for new hires. Most CALPERS start at a minimum 2%
Yeah they had everything you would expect to have working for the county
Great Vision, Medical & Dental Benefits. I like the availability & options of my medical, vision & dental providers with my plan options. I like the amount of coverage that I have to meet my health needs. I like that our County offers EAP (employee assistance programs) to assist during life’s more difficult moments. My supervisors & management staff are compassionate & caring for our overall well-being.
best: pay. worst: interview process
The worst is that for family vision and dental you are required to be a Union member. A close runner up is the cost and that to receive a reduced rate on medical you have to have a health screening and online questionnaire every year. The best is that employee married to employee receives free medical!
Great choices of medical, dental insurance
It is expensive to have good health insurance.
