The insurance and time off are the best factors.
Great teachers and admin.
Insurance is good only if it's for you alone but if you add family it's very expensive!
It is nice to have decent healthcare. The mental healthcare is somewhat lackluster though. There is only one provider that has 5-7 Doctors and few appointments.
Best: livable salary Worst: retirement plans, overall I lost money by participating in retirement plans. Although I chose a low risk plan, I often lost money, sometimes losing money 3 quarters in a row.
Benefits are not bad. If it's just you it is a great package but if you have to add a family plan it becomes expensive.
The benefits at OCPS are ok at best. I would expect working for such a large organization that they would be better.
Great benefits package. Feels very secure
Great health insurance, retirement, excellent vacation time and personal/sick days
The health insurance is very affordable for a family. My medical benefits were comprehensive although they required use of in-network doctors only, the premiums were very reasonable and the deductible low.
