There are a lot of procedures that you don’t have to get prior authorization. However, the out of pocket cost upfront is very expensive but they do have an HSA fund that can be used towards medical costs. The vision plans and dental plans are also very basic. Unless it is preventive care expect to pay a lot of these expenses out of pocket.

The company administers its own health insurance benefits. They have coupled the HSA type health insurance with an employee wellness program. It appears to be working well in keeping health insurance premiums low while providing a competitive level of health care benefits.

StarStarStarStarStar Former Large Plant Supervisor in Newark, Ohio

Low premiums but high deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums. Not particularly competitive Healthcare options for employees who didn’t have a spouse to lean on.

StarStarStarStarStar Current Employee in Toledo, Ohio

There are low premiums, however the maximum out of pockets are high. Current contract negotiations between insurance provider "Aetna" and ProMedica could cause loss of coverage, however HR is working on other options.

Decent compared to other employers since Obamacare was implemented. HSA offered.
