No worst things of the benefits. Overall a good package that you do not get offered everywhere. Much depends whether you need it (e.g. when you are single) or not (e.g. when you are married and are already covered)
High Deductible Health Insurance Plan
The benefits package is in no way competitive within the industry. Consulting normally leverages benefits to secure top talent. PA has taken the low road and offers the minimums in terms of vacation, external training, retirement savings, etc. Health insurance recently down-graded from a previously acceptable plan.
The benefits changed dramatically. In the US, there is a significant portion to pay out of pocket. If you have dependents, beware!
The new high deductible insurance plan that starts on January 1, 2017 is a huge step down from the insurance we had before.
USA - 17 days leave, 10 sick days, 6% 401k match, sabbatical opportunities, international travel & training
Nothing special about the benefits package. It covers the basics, little more. Overall, it is very standard and obviously designed to meet but not exceed market expectations. There is nothing that is part of the package that excites or attracts versus other consulting firms. A program for acquiring internal shares in the company is interesting but is complicated by taxation, which undermines the appeal. This program also looks about to change.
Health insurance, 401(k) Employee owned company
pay is low. below average. feels like you can make more elsewhere. i guess the exposure and experience you get makes up for it?
Nice health insurance and a decent amount of PTO
