    This isnt company-wide, but my region required you to request your vacation days for the year starting at the beginning of the year. A certain percentage of your vacation mudt be taken by the first quarter. My manager added the restriction on which days you could request . . . For example you had 4 weeks of vacation, you could only take 4 Mondays or 4 Fridays for the entire year. He kept a calendar to keep track of those days. He said it was to be fair, but employees who worked there longer got around that loophole.
