“Takes years to get decent vacation time. They can do better and choose not to.”
Everyone is being pushed to a High deductible health savings plan which is affortable. 401k is matched up to 7% and a Cash Balance pension is provided. Vacation follows a standard union contract. Starts with 2 weeks, up to 6 weeks after 30 years. Long hours, alot of overtime and outages spring and fall.
Job and benefits are getting worse each year. They do not care about their employees and it’s showing. Morale is non existent.

PSEG continues to improve on the benefits that they provide its employees. The company matches 50% of 401K contributions up to a certain percentage. There are a number of health insurance plans to choose from. Maternity and paternity leave is available. There use to be commuter checks but have not been used since the pandemic. Remote work is available, depending on the specific group. A stock purchase plan is also available to employees.
