Nothing to shout about. Coverage is not as much as my last company.

  • Dental Insurance(6 comments)

I haven't had the chance to specifically look into this yet. There is no dedicated card for this, and I'm not positive which company if it's through, but I don't pay a whole ton for this benefit, and from what I've heard from other coworkers, it's really good.

    it's normal for regular request

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

Former Design Engineer in Redmond, WA, Washington State

Pactera for a contracting firm offered a good package compared to other contracting firms - health insurance (from Premera Blue Cross) for the family is subsidized and had no co-payments, coverage started on the 1st of the next month, and continues coverage to the last day of the month one leaves. The 401K plan did not have much of a matching. Also offered at what I though were a reasonable rate where long/short term disability insurance for self and family.

The best thing about the benefits package at Pactera is the health insurance and the paid holidays.

No work-life balance. They expected people to work on weekends and late at night. There were no cohorts and no clear indication of who reports to who.
