Crew snacks are allowed to be made while on shift and these are of course free of charge. Occasionally upper management will cater in food from other restaurants.
One of the greatest things about working here, at least back in my day, is that anything more than an hour old would be up for grabs. Our freshness policy wouldn't let us serve it, even if the person who ordered it finally showed up to get it. We had to make a new one, so it was either throw out the old or give it to the staff. Some managers throw it out anyway, but our GM wasn't about to let anything go to waste. As a result we always had high morale because we rarely went hungry.
Good aspect: Food was often available to eat ON THE JOB. Bad aspect: Sometimes you couldn't get any because either OTHER employees would eat it while YOU were busy working or they would be SAVING SOME FOODS for later orders.
we got a crew pizza every shift for the employees working.
WE make a ton of pizza's each day which includes a few mistakes, mistakes are always up for grabs by any employees and if we make less then three mistakes in a day we typically have extra dough that the employees can then use to make their own pizzas.
They sometime give you free food.
