Great flexibility and most managers are fair when it comes to who gets holiday time off but there are a few who play favorites and it is the same people repeatedly getting holiday time off.
horrible because its just pto no sick time and they also use you pto to pay you for holiday pay
PTO could really use some improvement to be competitive with the rest of Corporate America. The world is changing and companies are offering more time for employees to take time away from work. Requiring employees to use their PTO for holidays is a disservice to your employees.
New hires will get less PTO than folks previously hired
Time is flexible and only 24 hours notice required in most situations. Con: you have to use your earned PTO to get paid for Holidays.
Earn a little over 6 hours a pay period. Able to use it when you want
Best: You get PTO and you can sell it back if you want. Worst: Its all lumped together and you have to use to take holidays off.
The numbers of hours accrued per pay period is very low is very low considering that holidays are included and there are no sick/emergency days included. The amount of time before there is an increase in the accrual rate is excessive.
You accrue it as you go and there is no separate between time off and the holidays.
There is no vacation time. PTO is offered and if closed on a holiday they will take from you accrued PTO to cover your hours.
