finicky Flex spending, difficult to work with when needing to correct any issues
Generous benefits package with good time off.
Pension plan and 401k match is very attractive alternative to SS. Vest at 5 years for pension and 6 years for full 401k match vesting
If you reach the age of 55 and maintain employment for 5 years, you are eligible for (some) retirement benefits.
The health insurance is great. There is no wait when using the local Hospital facilities
Great 401k plan, but PTO sucks it's used for everything sick days, Vacation time, Holidays ect...
The benefits are really good at Parkland. I love the retirement plan at Parkland. It's really worth staying at Parkland for the pension plan.
must use Parkland network for best coverage, which is ok except that it takes a long time to get through the process. Employees are not fast tracked through the system, nor do employees or dependents receive any sort of incentive/perk to have services rendered at Parkland. So if you don't need surgery or diagnostic services....use your own doctor, pharmacy...and the coverage is the same.
Not enough vacation time. 401K don't double amount paid into by employee.
working part time medical benefits are quite costly
