PayPal has the most excellent trainers of any company I have ever worked for, and I have worked for several large and reputable national companies in my 35 year career. When you take a new position within the company, if it is lateral and not management, you actually go to "class" for up to 4 weeks before you start in your new position. There is a lot of mentoring as well, both immediately after your class training, and during the entire time you are in the position, if you are struggling with any aspect in the performance of that position.
PayPal has some room to improve in this area.
the job training you get depends on the team. some teams have it, others don't. need to have a much more formalized process
