PayPal can be hit or miss with their professional development. It really depends on the management in the division or department you are in. Some are very good, others are not really good at all. A large department in my location is Customer Service, in which most employees are on the phones 100% of the time. The management in that department is extremely proficient in assisting employees to get off the phones and to a "back office" department. Which makes PayPal an excellent company to work for, to get your foot in the door, as they hire from within a lot. Once you are in the back office, however, it would again depend on which department you are in for the level or assistance you have with advancing your career.
PayPal has some room to improve.
