    Offered to only full time associates and the employer doesn't add to this through a dollar for dollar match system they just draw money from your paycheck and put it up for later. If people were responsible they would be doing this with their own bank account....

    you can put money back from your check into 401k at whatever rate you chose. if you can afford to do so on what salary is offered
