Complete. You won't have better medical coverage unless you're a Senator.
Excellent insurance, vacation, and retirement benefits.
Good insurance, same as rest of gov.
Coverage during service is wonderful -- access to the medical team 24/7 and all care covered financially. However, coverage after service (called AfterCorps) is free for the first month (while most volunteers are traveling internationally and therefore not covered by the plan), then over $200/month for an additional 2 months. It does not meet the minimal requirements of the Affordable Care Act and thus, I believe, RPCVs could be penalized by a fine.
Many choices. Higher options itemize you to pieces
I've never had to pay for prescription and my doctors are pretty good.
There are so many options!
Blue Cross/Blue Shield Federal Employee Plan has been good for me -- lots of professionals in-network.
