Peacehealth has comprehensive benefits package.
Best thing-- PeaceHealth offers really affordable care within the PeaceHealth network. They're the only major hospital in Bellingham, WA. So luckily, finding a care provider is easy. I was able to add my spouse for a really acceptable amount.
Health plan is very weak -- poor benefits (high premium, high deductible, poor administration) Retirement contribution doesn't start until TWO FULL YEARS have passed. And the contribution is minimal after that. Hospitals have generous benefit plans in general, compared to other industries. Within healthcare, this is definitely bottom quartile.
The benefits for working at Peacehealth were good overall. The pay was lower than it should be, but the benefits package was sufficient.
The insurance is horrible and you have to use your own pto if you want to be paid for a holiday. You also have to have at least half of the pto in your bank before event asking for a vacation or days off.
I have numerous medical conditions that require very expensive prescriptions and sometimes expensive medical tests that need to be pre authorized. Never once did my insurance question a single claim, rx, or test, or surgery.
I believe that the time off is fair and the 401k package is good. I would like to see the medical cost for a family of 4 go down slightly.
The benefits package was good, no complaints. It was a good place to work but unfortunately our jobs were outsourced to another state.
Good benefit package overall. Options for what level of deductible and co-pays. Bad - if you can't get to a PH provider, payments are slow, paperwork is redundant.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
