Very competitive benefits package overall.
Vision plan is super. The once a year (and optional) matching of 401k is ridiculous for a company over 30 years old.
Good options for health and dental. Less exciting 401k match of 3% (50 cents to each dollar up to 6%), and 3 weeks vacation to start. Overall the benefits are good, but could be more competitive compared to other tech companies looking to attract in demand talent.

Big focus on wellness and other benefits that are scarcely utilized. Typical industry benes. They moved to Cigna as their provider and the paperwork that is generated is too much, hard to understand who paid what and when, and how much. Your copay is applied to lab work and everything across the board so it becomes tedious paperwork mess for basic blood work and xrays, etc.
Best thing is that you set your own hours. The worst thing is that there is no leeway on getting the job done in time.

Pega USUALLY matches 401K contributions at 50% up to 6% of salary. That level is fairly typical; however, the matching is DISCRETIONARY (i.e. the company decides after the year is past, if they can/wish to) and does not occur until March of the following year. You need to be employed to receive the match - in effect, you will lose matching for at least part of your last year of employment. You lose growth (time-value) of that money each year too. The employee stock purchase plan (ESPP) allows you to purchase company stock at a 5% discount off the ending value (not the lower of beginning and ending as in many tech cos). Since the stock is volatile and you cannot sell stock more than half the year, the 5% is not worth the risk. Many tech cos offer 15% off the lower of beginning and ending values.
