“For individuals it's fine, but for families it's prohibitively expensive.”
“There is some matching really first time I am doing 401k so not much to compare it to.”
Very good benefits at PMC.
Health Care cost for families is high. Also, 401k employer match would be a nice addition.
Finally matching 401K is a really great thing to have. I have heard that maternity leave is great at the company. What's not great is the company culture that discourages taking your PTO. Also, multiple former colleagues have said that they do not pay out unused PTO days once you leave the company. It's not legally required in NY state but most companies just do it to be fair — PMC does not do this, so you better use your PTO before you give notice. Health insurance premiums are pretty high. Once the office reopens, they are mandating a hybrid work model of three days a week in office and if you request otherwise, they put you through the ringer. Seems like a waste of energy for something that should be fluid in the world we live in now. Also, for all of the encouragement to be in the office, the physical office setup has deteriorated. More people squished into smaller spaces. No incentives to physically be there other than the corporate mandate.
They are always adding new plans and ways to cover things you want covered. I felt like I had several options when it came to healthcare and dental. Though like anywhere dental and vision plans are never enough to cover all your expenses at least I could choose from 2 dental plans. PTO is pretty good and I love that you can volunteer through the 2% foundation.
Benefits are decent, plus added paid volunteer days
Has 401k match, decent health care
401k matching, flex holidays, vacation
Offers good health, dental and eye insurance, but there's no PTO for sick days.
PMC offers a wide variety of benefits, from traditional medical, dental and vision to reduced rates on pet, auto & home insurance.
Overall, solid benefits package with flexible options for health insurance. They now match 401K up to 4% a year after 6 months of employment which is great. One con would be no overtime pay.
