The benefits are about average for a small company. They aren't as good as a huge company with thousands of employees could afford, but I've seen far worse. I'm confused by the person who complains about insurance being deducted from salary. This is standard for almost every company in business. In 25+ years working, I've never worked anywhere where I didn't pay for insurance.
The worst thing about the benefits package is that the cost of your insurance is deducted out of the initial salary that is quoted to you. For instance if you are told that your salary would be $60k a year, they would then say that if you wanted insurance it will be lowered by a certain amount based on who you want covered. In addition to that there is STILL a monthly copay on top of that. So your salary could end up being significantly lower.
