PetSmart provides paid vacations and holidays.
You get 2 weeks paid vacation if your full time. Longer you work there the more hours you get. You also get sick time, bereavement and discretionary time.
Time based allocation for vacation
Best:really great time off package Worst: if you get hurt and cannot walk without a cane, you cannot be in the store until you are healed. They make you take that time off until your disability kicks in.
You barely accumulate pto time (I was employed for a year and had only 21.35 hours.)
2 weeks for 1-4 years of employment, 3 weeks for 5-10 years of employment, and goes up from there.
They provide plenty of sick time to full time associates, but vacation is not that great. Only ten days a year if you have worked for the company less than five years, and they will never let you take more than seven days in a row.
It's nice to have but it's not much and it's only for full timers. PetSmart's idea of full time is 36 hours a week. Personallyy hard for me to reach as they only schedule me 7 hours a day for 4 days a week.
It's there, but it honestly the bare bones compared to other companys in 90% of the area.
Paid time off and discretionary is offered
2 weeks of paid vacation at the beginning for most positions, then adds and extra week for every 5 years of service.
