start at 3 weeks, max of 6 after 30 years with the company
Pfizer offers so much paid time off that it has honestly been hard to use all of the available days you can take off work. They allow you to carry five unused vacation days over to the following year. Pending senior management approvals, most salary employees can take off whatever dates and durations they would like as long as their work is getting completed.
Vacation pay is the same as others. You get paid for your time off
Very reasonable amount of vacation given for even new employees and you are given floater holidays as well.
They offered a very good amount of paid time off, but sometimes I felt like I was on call all the time.
There is no formal process. We requested time from management and that was it.
It was the standard nothing new or nothing unusual
Pfizer tries to be the median... 3 weeks 4 weeks after 10+ years of service 5 weeks after 20+ years
Gives an extra week off after 10 yrs. Most other companies give an extra week after 5 years. Also, a lot of other companies are now giving money or a sabbatical after a certain number of year. Pfizer doesn't offer anything like that.
You start with 3 weeks off and you have a fair amount of holidays off and you get a week off between Christmas and New years!
