Great benefits at Piper. Not much more you could ask for.
One benefit people don't ask in an interview...severance. For every year worked, Piper provides 2 weeks of severance pay. For example, 5 years would provide 10 weeks of severance.
basic health/dental/life insurance, retirement accounts, pto
very generous 401 k and health care savings account matches from the company. You are also immediately vested in both, which is very rare.
Match 6% for traditional 401k 22 pto+9 holidays
I am surprised at how unsatisfactory the benefits offered by PJC are. While the dental and vision options are standard and acceptable, the health care leaves a lot to be desired. They offer only one health care plan, a high deductible, $2600 for family. As for vacation/ sick leave, you receive 17 days of PTO that includes all time off requests. This means that for a San Francisco employee who is eligible for 9 days of sick time, you only receive 6 days of paid vacation for a 5+ years experienced professional. In addition, you are responsible for tracking your earned PTO because there is no system in place to do this and have it reflected on your time sheet. They do offer a 401k plan that currently is unmatched, though I believe they will change this next year. As for perks, there is coffee in the break room and a holiday party.
Full comprehensive suite of benefits such as medical, dental, 401k, paid time off, child care, discounts and various other perks.
Pretty standard high deductible HSA
The deductable is high for health insurance, but the company contributes to our HSA to help out with out of pocket expense. 401k match is nice!
Everything has to be with piper for stock. Expensive trading fees. Other benefits ok.
