An average plan in terms of the investment options, but the weak employer matching (50% up to a maximum of $2K per year) really hurts.

Matching is poor and caps at 2K per year. No equity plan for non-executive employees.

  • Jul 08, 2017

401K match is far below the average and has a maximum cap of 2K per year. Equity in any form or a reduced price stock purchase plan is no longer available to non-executive employees. Film bonus and Long Term Incentive (LTI) are suppose to make up for these short comings. LTI is based on a per-film and personal performance. It is doled out over 3 years. Film bonus is directly tied to a film's performance and is a certain number of weeks of one's base salary with a maximum of 10 weeks.

Pixar provides a certain level of 401k matching, which is huge for those who haven't planned for retirement, but the 401k model is outdated and the fees and costs associated can have a big impact on long term growth

    Low matching at 2%.
