Hi there! I interview for a position with a planned Parenthood this week for a role as Special Events Manager to oversee their fundraising department. Because most of my work and experience has been in freelance. I’m having a hard time figuring out what my work experience translates to in a Salary position. Therefore, I wonder what my base pay should be. Does anyone have any experience in the role?
I used to be anti funding planned parenthood till today. My s/o had an iud that was significantly imbedded causing a lot of pain. Her doctor kept pushing the removal. She was in super rough shape. In bed all day for the past few days. In 1 hour planned parenthood saw her and got it resolved. Really interesting how experience changes prospective.

It has been improved, and the company is now paying a larger portion of the insurance premiums. Not very much time off compared to other employers.
insurance, 403B matching, pay half health insurance deductible
Offers medical dental and vision along with a 401k and many more benefits to choose from
Vacation accrual is based on years with the company so when you first start out it takes forever to accrue (takes over a month to get one vacation day). Some affiliates have wellness and holiday time which is a plus. But depends on affiliate. Of course there is malpractice insurance for those licensed positions. It is decent quality but thankfully I have not needed to use it. Health insurance has 100% coverage/no copay for mental health services. Again, varies by affiliate. Benefits are ok. Vacation could be improved and some places don't like to approve your time which is a problem. Health insurance is still pricey so for med assistants and those in lower paying jobs may not be feasible to obtain. You get invited to events but can rarely go because they are scheduled during your work hours and/or they want you to use your own funds for events. The events are really just for donors they don't recognize staff at those so those are not actually a benefit.
