Training at platinum was dumb. You ride in a car with your team leader and watch for a week. You don't get to do anything but watch. In my first week my trainer made 12 sales so what they did was at the end of 2 small sales they handed me the iPad at the health questions just so I would get my trainee bonus. Nothing hands on. Then you're by yourself the next week.

Platinum offsets the cost of major medical insurance for its employees. They also offer dental, eye, 401K with matching contributions, life insurance and more. The Platinum building has a small gym that Platinum allows employees and family members to utilize at no charge. Platinum also hires a personal trainer to workout with Platinum employees for no charge! We work in a positive atmosphere, and a great facility with all the necessities we need to successfully do our jobs.

Former Outside Sales Representative in Indianapolis, IN, Indiana

No paid benefits. Company bonuses and vacations exist. No insurance or 401k. No purchasable benefits.

Report

Platinum Supplemental Insurance response

Platinum sales representatives are independent contractors. This allows them access to a leading commission opportunity, but they are responsible for their business expenses and benefits. There are regular and ongoing bonus and incentive opportunities available to help offset these costs. Platinum does make purchasable benefits available to its representatives.

Former Sales agent in Leawood, KS, Kansas

Platinum doesn't give you any benefits whatsoever other than a dumb fishing trip for the top sales agents. No 401k or retirement plan. Complete joke of a company. False info at hire and horrible training then they blame brand new agents for not making them money while you're the one losing money. (Not platinum)

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. While there are advantages to corporate employment, such as traditional employee benefits like health insurance, there are also advantages to an independent, contracted sales representative career. Platinum sales representatives have the opportunity for remarkable income, typical four-day workweeks and additional incentive compensation. Representatives also handle their financial planning independently.
