The best thing about the benefits package we have is that we have a comprehensive package the college provides (life, medical, legal, free parking, paid time/vacation/holidays).
I was a part time faculty so i didnt get a chance to review the benedit
Adjunct Faculty members are able to receive 2.5 hrs of leave.
The teach team (instructors) work well as a team. Able to weed out, meet and solve issues/concerns before certain concerns are filter outside protocol. Never any issues with staff.
Pension plan requires 10% of Salary, Kaiser is option for Health Insurance, Spring break and Winter break. I would have preferred more flex personal days so that I wouldn't have to take vacations during peak times.
Because I am a contract employee, there are no such benefits. We do get paid if the University closes due to inclement weather and for holidays.
The benefits are reasonably priced and the actual coverage is excellent. Many plans to choose from including an HMO. I pay about $161 per pay period for full family coverage, no deductible, wellness care, prescription drug plan included.
I'm not sure what benefits are extended to full-time faculty, but adjunct instructors receive few in comparison to our peers within the region.
Health care is exceptionally. Very diverse retirement plans and great professionals to work with.
Excellent benefits.....medical, dental and pension. You can choose either blue cross or Kaiser.
