10 sick days and 4 personal days a year that carry over. Also, summer vacation is 11 weeks long and there are sporadic days off during the year

StarStarStarStarStar Current Science Teacher in Laurel, Maryland

Employees start with 2 personal days and 4 sick days and accumulate leave every pay period There is a 30 day wait for benefits to begin. If you start during the summer by the time the school year begins you will be covered. The family plan while expensive is excellent

I was able to accrue quite a bit of vacation time. Did not usually have the opportunity to take it however due to the work load.

Teachers always get the best time off. The summers are getting much shorter than they used to be though.
