Time off package is the same for everyone across the board at OIT: 2 days off per month, 1 floating personal day and 10 sick days per half-year. 401K package is actually a 403(b), two plans are created: one plan Princeton puts in 10% of your salary and that vests after 2.5 years (note this is not deducted from pay). Second plan you can choose to put in a certain % of your income and vests immediately (note this is deducted from pay). Health insurance package I chose was the HMO which covered most items 100% (though I did not have to use it during my time there). More benefit packages are offered for family disability, dental, and child tuition re-reimbursement.
Funding for childcare as well as research.
The contract says on the job 9am to 6pm from Mon to Fri. In reality, as long as possible and no weekends. accumulated montly leave is rarely used.
Ample days off, good work life balance compared to other institutions
Health insurance, vacation, sick, and personal days. Depending on the department you work in they may be pet friendly.
Lots of vacation days. Great health benefits.
Wonderful benefits for families and great training programs available.
Wonderful benefits package includes 24 vacation days a year, 2 personal days, 8 sick days plus major holidays. Only negative is not having the week between Christmas and New Year's off. Health benefits are decent but the best benefit is the more amount contributed into a 403b on your behalf.
40 days of time off is the standard for students here. That is pretty generous although many will abuse that as there is little oversight. No retirement. Health insurance is good and you always have free and immediate primary care appointments on campus.
No benefit for unused sick time.
