Best things are the vacation and sick pay, flexible schedules, and the insurance. Worst things includes that birth control is not covered and there isn’t tuition reimbursement.
The benefits was one of the biggest perks of working here. The health care benefits associated with Boys Town were incredible. The 401k matching and PTO were also generous.

Vacation adds up quickly and you start earning time off work right when you start. You have sick days, personal day, and vacation days which is more than many companies offer. Seems like you always have time off that you can use if you need it always accruing. Great medical Benefits and almost everything is covered 100% if you use a approved provider. Never had any issues with insurance not covering or taking care of something. 401 K plan has matching which is not something you see very often any more. Many positions at NFC allow flexibly work schedules and allow work at homes days.
No wait benefits. Health insurance costs are very reasonable and are excellent. I have had to have surgery and my total out of pocket cost was $40.

Nebraska Families Collaborative has excellent health benefits: medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, 401k that has a company match, paid holidays, paid vacation, paid sick leave. The location of the company provides great opportunities to walk on a wooded trail. The agency has fun, team building activities. They utilize innovate technology for staff to manage cases. They also use technology to provide real time recognition for all staff.
401K - Awesome. They just reduced maternity leave, they don't pay out the 12 weeks like they used to, so you need to save some of your previous pay checks, so you can live off a 'reduced-yet-decent' income while on maternity leave. The benefits are amazing here. The accrual of time for vacation is great. Just wish it could be used more. The work/life balance is something that needs to be addressed. The agency needs to train its supervisors to recognize stress and health concerns and allow that employee time to recover or to adjust the tasks of their workload to become a healthy positive person at work.
Excellent health benefits. No co-pays if you go to a Boystown provider and medicatioins are also free if their pharmacies have the medication. Average 401K benefit match, salary is negotiable and is among the highest of the various social agencies in Omaha. Just don't expect a private corporate business type of salary. Generous vacation time and management encourages time off.
