Public Preparatory Network offers a very comprehensive and competitive benefits package built to ensure an employees diverse array of needs. Upon hire, our HR team will debrief you on all the benefits offered.
Best: wide range of benefits available: dental, 403b and matching from organization, vision, Oxford United Healthcare, easy to reach benefits provider
Health insurance is insanely expensive for a family.
Benny Card is too cumbersome
Great coverage for all benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.). 5% employer match for the 403B program, FSA/transit programming. Overall, no complaints and I love the benefits.
401 K package with a 5% match Medical is great. Haven't paid for anything out of pocket yet.
Great health benefits. The network paid anything after an initial $250 deductible. 403b matching was also a great incentive. Employees are vested after 3 years. Vacation time was slightly different from DOE, but generally followed same calendar.
They match 401k to 3 or 4%. They give annual bonuses, but they're small and they always give them to the network staff first and then decide later whether or not to give them to the teachers, which feels shady. The school staff is good, they do nice things for teacher appreciation week and sometimes host happy hours. There is a lot of PD--some useful, some not so much. Every week on Friday there's 2 hours of PD and you have to go to 3 weeks (yes, WEEKS) in the summer before school starts.
Vacation is "use it or lose it," and there are few opportunities to use it.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
