Lots of vacation days; even when I left the company for a few years, my accrual rate and status picked up where I had left off. So didn't have to start all over to get a higher accrual rate.
Best in class insurance, while pricey, makes sure my wife and I are well cared for.
RGP model pays for your benefits while you are on the bench. This can be significant because you are not getting paid while on the bench.
Waiting 500 hours to be eligible
This is a standard no-frills benefits package. You have all of the traditional components, but they are more expensive and bare bones. NO BONUS. Employer-sponsored health insurance for contract employees is perhaps the best perk of this type of employment. Insurance is through Cigna and they offer a PPO and a HDHP. Cigna is very helpful with resolving all issues. No complaints about Cigna. The PPO is expensive per pay period (~$130 per check) and the HDHP is $73 per check. The network is pretty good. The deductible for HDHP is HIGH ($1750) but then everything is covered 90% with a 10% co-pay. HSA is good and RGP contributes $500 total per year on a per paycheck basis. PTO is accrued per hour- not that great. Transit card options as well. Optional life insurance. Dental and vision is available as well.
Time and a half for OT
Generous PTO and Holiday Pay
The worst thing about the benefits is you lose them if you are not placed on assignment within 90 days but I believe that to be fair.
If the client holidays do not match RGP holidays you have to use vacation time to cover those days.
The healthcare plan works great for my family.
