Vacation time and paid time off was basically bundled into a single package. So if you hoped to have vacation days and hours for your PTO, you could forget about it.

RadioShack's paid time off is admirable. I was grateful to build up on PTO and use it when needed.

Average at best. But I was working part time, so summers were my time to work a lot. No chance to use vacation.

Not good. The new policy took everyones built up time away and now most employees are lucky to get a week and a half the whole year.

No PTO, the amount of vacation days you get per year is based on your tenure with the company, so you won't see a substantial amount of vacation days unless, as a sales associate or assistant manager, you've been there a couple years, or you bank a position in management. And if you're in management... good luck using those vacation days!

One of the reasons I left the company is because they refused to pay me for my approved paid vacation time because they changed the system used just before I took my vacation, which wiped my available vacation hours clean, after they had already approved it. So the new system is pretty terrible.

Changed a lot since I was there. First year you only got a day. You had to work for many years before you got a week. The last time I worked there I was up to 3 weeks paid vacation

Six day work week and then they want you to work a year before you start gaining vacation which is 5 days in year two. Really a machine gets more time off than an employee at RadioShack. Work life balance......they've never heard of it!

There is only Paid Time Off. No vacation time available. If your in management this count against your hours worked.
