Good health insurance options with HSA
Limited choice due to overseas location did not allow me to use my earned benefit of lifetime health insurance, but required use of the standard plan as a condition of employment. To their credit, the insurer provided good mental health care which was a great boon to my family; however, the managed-care model required me, a melanoma survivor, to wait for approval or pay out of pocket and wait for reimbursement for diagnostics due to suspect conditions. Paying out of pocket and waiting for reimbursement worked well for years, but became a nightmare when, for still-unknown reasons, one day the insurer lost the ability to transmit funds to me, although we shared a bank. Resolving the lost payments took hundreds of personal hours on the phone and wading through the insurance company's bureaucracy with no recourse aside from waiting; and no possibility of consideration for my time and talents providing running spreadsheets cataloging tens of thousands of dollars they owed me and sorting out the insurance company's foul bookkeeping.
Over $500 per month for a high deductible family plan with horrible overage.
High deductible plans, great for young healthy staff
Health insurance is average for the industry.
It's not very good. I've worked a few places and this is by far the most expensive for what your getting. I've worked at small businesses with much much better options.
Standard high deductible health insurance.
Package options were mediocre and expensive
Awesome health insurance with HSA options.
