stingy at first but it accumulates over time
First year workers get 20 PTO days, in addition to paid holidays.
3 weeks of PTO and 10 holidays.
All holidays off plus a full week in christmas
It is average, but when they have a shut down they require you to use PTO, which I think is not fair.
4 weeks paid vacation time was great
I had more paid time off per year at previous jobs, and personal/sick/holiday time were accounted separately. Annual rollover has become more limited, probably to reduce potential payout burden on termination.
2 weeks before 5 years, 3 after, flexible
You get paid leaves and usual vacation time
It's hard to take PTO given how busy things are at Red Hat, but PTO allowances are generous. Recent changes to the PTO policy include not allowing PTO to roll over, but the annual shutdown at the end of December is now treated like a federal holiday (e.g. does not count toward annual PTO and is fully covered by the company), which essentially adds a "free" additional week of vacation.
