Is anyone not from the US? When did you get used to American food? I have been here for quite long but I still mostly eat Asian food (Chinese Indian Japanese Korean Thai Vietnamese in alphabetical order) so in the South, it was difficult to find good spots. Then I went to some of the established chains (Apple Bee’s Red Lobster Cheesecake Factory etc) and realized there wasn’t much for me to order. What would be a good way to get used to American food that most Americans eat?
Employee discount was ok .
Benefits, time off, and vacation pay.
No perks or health care
There are no benefits besides discounted meals and flexible scheduling
Used to be a lot better before becoming their own company.
They charge more for dental than the actual cost. After leaving company and signing up for COBRA, the cost of COBRA is less per month (by a few dollars) than what I was paying the company for the same coverage. The rep at the third party company who distributes the COBRA coverage said she has never seen COBRA cost less in several years working there and was not even sure if that was legal for the company to charge more than what the actual insurance costs. Red Lobster does not contribute any money towards the premiums, so when you sign up through them you are paying the same (or more in the case of the dental plan I had) as what you would pay directly through the insurance provider.
